Cancer screenings through Gartner

Each year, at your annual physical, you may be screened for breast and cervical cancer. These are preventive care screenings, which are services that help keep disease or bad health from occurring. Your benefits make it easier for you to afford some preventive care services. The following screenings are covered through Cigna:

A mammogram is a screening procedure that helps detect breast cancer. Mammograms are considered preventive care, and are a routine procedure for women. Cigna covers mammograms at the discretion of your primary care provider or OB/GYN.

Pap smears

A Pap smear is a procedure that checks cervical cells for the presence of cellular changes, or dysplasia, that could be a precursor of cervical cancer. Pap smears are considered preventive medicine, and are a routine part of care for all women.
